Our commitment to safe aviation practices

Safety is a priority on the Breezy platform. Breezy performs administrative validation of required pilot and aircraft documentation for platform participation. Aircraft Owners independently review and verify pilot documentation prior to approving a reservation, and Pilots independently review and verify aircraft documentation and condition prior to flight. Breezy does not conduct operational oversight or make determinations regarding pilot qualification or aircraft airworthiness.

Safety Guidelines

Pilot Documentation — Administrative Validation Only
  • As a condition of using the Breezy platform, all pilots must upload required documentation for administrative validation purposes only.
  • A current and valid pilot certificate, appropriate to the aircraft and intended operation, must be uploaded.
  • A current and valid medical certificate, when required under applicable FAA regulations for the intended operation, must be uploaded.
  • A government-issued photo identification must be provided for identity verification.
  • Aircraft Owners are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving pilot documentation prior to granting access to or releasing an aircraft.
  • Pilot documentation is subject to periodic re-validation no less frequently than every twenty-four (24) months, and more frequently if required by law, the Aircraft Owner, or applicable insurance requirements.
  • Breezy's review of pilot documentation is administrative in nature only and is not a representation, warranty, or determination of pilot qualification, currency, legality, insurability, or fitness to operate any aircraft. Breezy does not approve pilots, authorize flights, or assume responsibility for compliance with FAA regulations, insurance policy terms, or operational requirements. All such responsibilities remain solely with the Pilot in Command and the Aircraft Owner.
Aircraft Documentation — Administrative Validation Only
  • As a condition of listing an aircraft on the Breezy platform, Aircraft Owners must upload required aircraft documentation for administrative validation purposes only.
  • Each listed aircraft must have a current and valid airworthiness certificate.
  • Required inspections, including the most recent annual inspection, must be current in accordance with applicable FAA regulations.
  • Evidence of required aircraft insurance coverage must be provided and administratively validated for platform participation.
  • Maintenance records and logs must be maintained by the Aircraft Owner and made reasonably accessible to pilots prior to flight.
  • Pilots are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying aircraft documentation and determining airworthiness prior to each flight.
  • Pre-flight inspection responsibilities and procedures are communicated by the Aircraft Owner and remain the sole responsibility of the Pilot in Command.
  • Breezy's review of aircraft documentation is administrative in nature only and does not constitute a representation, warranty, or determination regarding airworthiness, maintenance status, regulatory compliance, or insurance adequacy. Breezy does not perform inspections, maintain aircraft, authorize flights, or assume operational control. All responsibility for aircraft condition, maintenance compliance, and insurance coverage remains solely with the Aircraft Owner and the Pilot in Command, as applicable.
Pre-Flight Responsibilities — Pilot in Command
  • Prior to each flight, the Pilot in Command ("PIC") is solely responsible for conducting all required pre-flight evaluations and determinations in accordance with applicable FAA regulations and safe operating practices.
  • Conduct a thorough pre-flight inspection of the aircraft.
  • Review aircraft logbooks and maintenance records and determine that the aircraft is in an airworthy condition for the intended flight.
  • Verify fuel quantity, oil levels, and operational status of all required systems and equipment.
  • Review current and forecast weather conditions, NOTAMs, and other relevant aeronautical information affecting the planned operation.
  • Perform and verify accurate weight and balance calculations for the intended flight.
  • The Pilot in Command retains sole authority and responsibility for determining aircraft airworthiness, flight legality, and operational safety. Breezy does not conduct, supervise, or verify pre-flight inspections, flight planning, or operational decision-making, and makes no representation or warranty regarding aircraft condition or flight readiness.
Insurance Requirements — Platform Participation
  • As a condition of accessing or using the Breezy marketplace, insurance coverage is required from both pilots and aircraft owners, as applicable.
  • Non-owner aircraft insurance is required for all pilots operating aircraft through the platform.
  • Aircraft owner insurance is required for all aircraft listed on the platform.
  • Both pilot and owner insurance coverage are mandatory for participation in the marketplace.
  • Minimum coverage limits are specified by the Aircraft Owner in each aircraft listing and may vary by aircraft.
  • Additional insured, named insured, or approved pilot requirements may be imposed by the Aircraft Owner or the applicable insurance policy.
  • Hull damage and liability coverage are material components of required insurance and remain the responsibility of the insured party.
  • Breezy does not provide insurance, does not broker or underwrite insurance, and does not evaluate the adequacy, scope, or enforceability of any insurance policy. Any review of insurance documentation by Breezy is administrative in nature only and does not constitute a representation, warranty, or determination of coverage, insurability, or compliance with policy terms. Compliance with insurance requirements remains solely the responsibility of the Pilot in Command and the Aircraft Owner, as applicable.
Emergency Procedures — Incident Reporting
  • In the event of an accident, incident, or emergency involving an aircraft accessed through the Breezy platform, the following procedures apply:
  • Immediately contact appropriate emergency services when required for safety or medical assistance.
  • Comply with all applicable FAA reporting and notification requirements, including any required filings or notifications.
  • Promptly notify the Aircraft Owner of any accident, incident, or aircraft damage.
  • Report the incident through the Breezy platform as soon as reasonably practicable for administrative recordkeeping purposes.
  • Document observable aircraft damage, when safe to do so, including photographs or other available evidence.
  • Breezy's involvement in incident reporting is administrative only and does not include emergency response, accident investigation, regulatory reporting on behalf of any party, or claims handling. Breezy does not assume operational control, legal responsibility, or liability for aircraft operations, emergencies, or resulting losses. All regulatory, safety, and reporting obligations remain solely with the Pilot in Command and the Aircraft Owner, as applicable.
Aircraft Checkout Requirements — Owner-Determined
  • Aircraft checkout requirements, if any, are established solely by the Aircraft Owner and may vary by aircraft.
  • Aircraft Owners may require checkout flights or other evaluation activities at their discretion prior to approving access to an aircraft.
  • Checkout requirements may include demonstration of familiarity with aircraft systems and equipment.
  • Review of emergency procedures and aircraft limitations applicable to the specific aircraft may be required.
  • Understanding of local airspace, airport procedures, and operating considerations may be required by the Aircraft Owner.
  • Aircraft-specific ground training or orientation may be required prior to flight.
  • Breezy does not conduct, provide, supervise, or evaluate aircraft checkouts, flight instruction, or pilot training, and does not determine whether a pilot has satisfied any checkout requirement. Any checkout, training, or evaluation is arranged directly between the Aircraft Owner and the pilot, and all determinations regarding pilot acceptance, aircraft access, and operational suitability remain solely with the Aircraft Owner and the Pilot in Command.

Responsibilities

Pilot Responsibilities — Pilot in Command
  • •Each flight conducted through the Breezy platform is operated by a Pilot in Command ("PIC"), who retains sole responsibility for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and safe operating practices.
  • •Review and verify all required aircraft documentation and determine airworthiness prior to flight.
  • •Maintain current pilot certificates, ratings, endorsements, and medical certification, as required for the intended operation.
  • •Operate the aircraft within personal qualifications and limitations, and within the aircraft's approved operating limitations.
  • •Return the aircraft as agreed and in substantially the same condition, ordinary wear and tear excepted.
  • •Promptly report any mechanical issues, discrepancies, or damage to the Aircraft Owner and through the Breezy platform for administrative recordkeeping.
  • •Comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and local operating requirements.
  • •Maintain timely and accurate communication with the Aircraft Owner regarding the operation and condition of the aircraft.
  • •Breezy does not supervise flight operations, evaluate pilot performance, or assume responsibility for regulatory compliance, aircraft condition, or operational decisions. All such responsibilities remain solely with the Pilot in Command and the Aircraft Owner, as applicable.
Owner Responsibilities — Aircraft Owner
  • •Each aircraft listed on the Breezy platform is provided by an Aircraft Owner, who retains sole responsibility for the condition, maintenance, and insurance of the aircraft.
  • •Maintain the aircraft in an airworthy condition and ensure all required maintenance and inspections are completed in accordance with applicable FAA regulations.
  • •Provide accurate and current aircraft information, including specifications, equipment, and operating limitations applicable to the aircraft.
  • •Disclose known mechanical issues, discrepancies, or operating restrictions that could affect safe operation.
  • •Maintain current and applicable aircraft insurance coverage in accordance with Owner requirements and applicable law.
  • •Respond reasonably and promptly to reservation requests and pilot inquiries related to the aircraft.
  • •Conduct post-flight inspections to identify damage, discrepancies, or maintenance needs following each use.
  • •Breezy does not maintain, inspect, manage, or operate aircraft, and does not assume responsibility for aircraft airworthiness, maintenance compliance, insurance adequacy, or post-flight condition. All such responsibilities remain solely with the Aircraft Owner and the Pilot in Command, as applicable.

In Case of Emergency or Accident

If an emergency, accident, or incident occurs during aircraft operation:

  1. Immediately contact appropriate emergency services (911) when safety or medical assistance is required.
  2. Ensure the safety of all persons involved, to the extent reasonably practicable.
  3. Comply with all applicable FAA reporting and notification requirements, as required by regulation.
  4. Promptly notify the Aircraft Owner and Breezy support as soon as reasonably practicable.
  5. Document the incident, when safe to do so, including photographs and written details of observable damage or circumstances.

Breezy's involvement in emergency reporting is administrative and recordkeeping only. Breezy does not provide emergency response, conduct investigations, submit regulatory reports on behalf of users, or handle insurance claims. All regulatory, safety, and reporting obligations remain solely with the Pilot in Command and the Aircraft Owner, as applicable.
